Update on the Flotilla:

The captain of the U.S. ship has been released from Greek custody and has been told he has no restrictions or limitations on his movements or activities. No U.S. activists remain in Greek custody. The boat is still being held; some activists will remain in Greece to receive it upon its release.

One Canadian is still in Greek custody.

The French boat is somewhere out in international waters. There is apparently a standoff going on right now at the Greek port of Perama, where the Greek/Swedish/Norwegian boat was stopped as it was enroute to a nearby town to attend a ceremony in their honor, and a crowd of protestors is reportedly gathering. Some of the other boats' whereabouts remain unknown to the press at this time.

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

I'm not trying to be funny, but did you look at their methodology? They discounted CCTV footage, and only went by eyewitnesses on the flotilla. Sure, I think the full video should have been released, but that is definitely a one sided report as a result.

Now is this a TOS violation like my post earlier in the thread, or it going to be another case of arbitrary enforcement of the rules around here?

ETA: Perhaps it was another thread, my question remains.

Yep thats a 24hr suspension right there.

If a person uses a "strike through" and doesn't delete the contents of another person post in a quote...then that's OK. I thought you would know that...

Yes but then in regular text you added content afterwards. IE. anyone reading her post will think she wrote the content about the missiles.

I forgot to add the red text...shoot me now. I would think the STRIKE THROUGH in BOLD TEXT might be the fist clue.

In the past the moderators haven't been very forgiving on this, but its not like I'm going to report you...and thats the only reason a moderator would come down here.

And it doesn't matter when the changes are factual, based on the quoted post, or not.

Let's start a new thread in the Forums support about strike through's, quotes, bold text, and how many years a poster gets for forgetting to use the red text when he messes with someones post in a quote. And does "good time" count for a third off the sentence? First let's have a Séance and see if we can't get a hold of capt. ewok.

I'm not exactly sure why, but they started coming down on touching other people's quotes awhile ago. I edited a friends quote as a joke and was given a 6 hour suspension for posterity because it was the "new policy". That being said, it was removed and I did receive an apology.

I'm not trying to mean, I'm just saying be careful when working within the quote tags.

The reason it's not "from Israel's side" is pretty obvious: Israel refused to cooperate with the investigation. Instead, the Israeli government insisted that since it was conducting its own "investigation," it should get to write up its own synopsis, and then just submit that to the UN to be cut and pasted into the official report. Look at the letters at the end - Annex II Correspondence (page 59.)

Israel refused to allow the U.N. investigators to speak to any of the commandos who took part in the operation, and denied the U.N. investigators access to some of the most important evidence of all - the photographs and video recorded by the passengers on the boat, which the Israeli army confiscated and which to this day Israel refuses to release to anyone.

From what I read...when a person does mess with someones post in a quote...it's all good as long as a bold strike through is used, and then you have to use red text for what you change. I did everything correct other than the red text part...which I forgot. Anyways....I thought it was funny. I mean Iranian arms...Cyprus port, ships bound for Gaza. (F)

I don't disagree. I think Israel should provided the information, especially since it makes the UN report inaccurate and ultimately harms Israel. Thats Israel's biggest mistake IMO, they need to work with the UN. Gaza and the West Bank shouldn't be occupied by Israeli forces, they should be occupied by UN peace keepers.
