First off I want to state that I believe the Palestinians should have a state. With that said they and the rest of the Arabs brought this upon themselves. People can cry about the Jewish diaspora immigrating to Israel, but it's a proven fact that those people have ties to Israel starting with their DNA. Now when Israel was declared a state, Arab nations such as the North African nations took it upon themselves to massacre thousands of Jews, and then steal everything they had. Libya is a prime example of this.

You know how to read a map? I hope so for the fact Arabs have a very short and selective memory. One thing Iv'e learned is never gamble if you can't handle losing. The Arabs gambled more than once, and they lost.

Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

Read up on your history. Palestine is the Anglicized version of the name given to the area during the Roman occupation.

Israel+democracy= occupation :bonk:

You changed the subject, anyway, can you name one non-democratic Arab country!! still occupying other people's land? Ops! sorry the DNA according to you prove that this land is just for Israeli  and Palestinian don't exist. Means there is no occupation :bonk:

Definition of democracy nowadays; occupying other countries other's people's lands and singing for peace

Please read the history from reliable sources.

First off I want to state that I believe the Palestinians should have a state. With that said they and the rest of the Arabs brought this upon themselves. People can cry about the Jewish diaspora immigrating to Israel, but it's a proven fact that those people have ties to Israel starting with their DNA.

There is no "DNA evidence" that "the Jewish people" as a group are "tied to Israel" (by this, I am assuming you mean the ancient Hebrews.)

There is DNA evidence, however, that some Jews of Middle Eastern heritage are closely related to today's Palestinian people - indicating that some share common ancestors.

Overall, there is great genetic diversity among the Jewish people, and the various DNA studies do not indicate a distinct genetic group apart from all others - there is a lot of overlapping.

Now when Israel was declared a state, Arab nations such as the North African nations took it upon themselves to massacre thousands of Jews, and then steal everything they had. Libya is a prime example of this.

"Thousands" ??!!!! No, "thousands" of Jews were not massacred in North African countries in 1948 - not even in Libya which had the deadliest pograms, killing about 175 people. Pogroms are horrific, but don't try to exaggerate - the total number of Jewish victims killed in anti-Israel pograms across the entire Middle East/North Africa in 1948 are in the hundreds, not thousands.

You know how to read a map? I hope so for the fact Arabs have a very short and selective memory. One thing Iv'e learned is never gamble if you can't handle losing. The Arabs gambled more than once, and they lost.

"Israeli Declaration of Independence"

Your map does not even appear at the page you linked.

And you seem to be the one with the selective memory - because you tried posting this same old propaganda "the Arabs started the war with Israel in 1948" way back in Post #32 of this thread. I gave you the facts then - in Post #36 - on why that is not the beginning of the conflict because Zionist militias had already begun attacking Palestinian areas in the weeks and months before that.

Look at the dates on your map -- it says it portrays operations from May 14 1948 to June 10 1948.

But that was not the beginning of the war. Look at these maps, and take heed of the dates:

This is when the war actually started. As I pointed out to you in my previous post, the Arab countries first asked the British and the international community to protect Palestinian civilians from attacks. Then, when nothing was done, they waited until the end of the British Mandate to respond themselves with military action, after first informing the U.N. of their intention. And this was their legal right and duty.

If your talking about the name itself. It existed well before the British - during the Byzantine Empire.

Kind of. To Arabs it was always Southern Syria though, or whatever Southern Syria was at a given time, and the 'Palestinian' people would have self-identified as Syrian, Jordanian, Lebanese, Egyptian etc depending on what they were calling themselves at any given time. There were references to the area as 'Palestine' but no autonomous nation called "Palestine."

None of which means there shouldn't be a Palestinian nation, but it should be noted for context.

I briefly looked at it and it seemed one-sided. I dont think anyone is going to be impressed just because its written by Jews.
