Hello everyone. Quick update. Got my green card in the mail yesterday (June 1st). Finally!!!! Alreday booked ticket, so i can go home

Updating nastia123's card received date :)

Hi. I just noticed you have an interview after your biometrics within 4 days. Did you recieved a letter from the immigration for an interview or got an update from online status? Is it from VSC or CSC

I was wondering if people who got the approval letter but not the GC have applied for citizenship, or are you guys waiting for the card? Also, in 4 days it will be 60 days since my decision date, should I be worried that I haven't gotten my GC? I want to call and find out what's up, but at the same time I dread picking up the phone and dealing with them again.

Fingers crossed for everyone still waiting!

For those of us who are waiting for approval for the past 11 months, what is it that we can do? I have an infopass appt. this friday to get the passport stamped just in case. On May 31st I received an email saying I should receive an approval or someother notice of action within 60 days. Its been almost 2 weeks already, since I didnt receive anything in today's mail either.Just wondering what the other who are waiting are planning to do? Are you going to contact your congressman and does that even help?

06/08/12 we received our shiny new green card. :lol:

I am getting quite frustrated myself. I thought about just going and filing for Naturalization when I am eligible (July 4). This will leave them no choice but to force them to make a decision on the I-751 or N400. I have read posts where people say their congress"person" has helped their cases. I myself am not sure if it was coincidence or if the congressperson really did some work. Quite frankly, I think they don't concern themselves too much with permanent residents as we don't have the right to vote.

Best bet, when 60 days arrives and if you still hear nothing, file another service request. I am sure your application and evidence is stuck with mine and we just happened to luck out with the world's laziest immigration officer to work on our case. LOL!

Yeah, I thought about that too, but along with the rest of the paperwork for N-400 we have to send a copy of the front and back of the green card...which we dont have :no: I just hope we receive the approval letter soon, cause I dont have must faith in the service requests as everyone seems to be getting the same standard reply - to wait 60 days. You would think they already did the thorough background check before we got the conditional green card 2 years ago. How much could change in a person's life in 2 yrs? This time its taking them longer to do the check for past 2 years. We havent even moved or changed jobs or travelled much in the past 2 years...I was so optimistic that it wouldnt take long to get the approval...now I really dont know. Havent even heard about anyone else getting approved from VSC in past 10 days.....wake up VSC :bonk:

Date: 08/23/2012 Biometrics Appointment. (Early Bio: 08/07/2012).

Date: 09/17/2012 Text/Email notification for interview received.

Date: 09/20/2012 Interview letter Received.

Date: 10/24/2012 Interview.

Date: 01/08/2013 Naturalization Ceremony. I am a US citizen!
