hey there i went to my local USCIS today to get a stamp in my passport and that lady was nice enough to look up my case status without my request and said " i am too lucky girl" cuz my case has approved on april 20th! However, i have not received any approval letter in mail till now. Anyone know when the letter will be sent after approval?

What great news! The 20th was a Friday, so if they mailed out the letter on the following Monday, I would expect you would receive the letter in the next few days.

That is extremely frustrating. so basically we have until july for them to fulfill our paperwork.

Nah, I don't think so. There are only very few May applications left (based on the approved % of May filers on VJ), so it shouldn't take that long.....maybe just a week's delay, hopefully.

What great news! The 20th was a Friday, so if they mailed out the letter on the following Monday, I would expect you would receive the letter in the next few days.

thanks for letting me know! my status on the website didn't change tho! I won't stop worrying until i receive the letter in mail :wacko:

Nah, I don't think so. There are only very few May applications left (based on the approved % of May filers on VJ), so it shouldn't take that long.....maybe just a week's delay, hopefully.

I agree, it shouldn't be too much longer, but the real problem is getting them to work on your case if you aren't approved but August approvals start to roll in (because they will say you are at least 60 days away from getting approved). So the whole thing is just frustrating.... I bet the director was tired of being flooded with SR and calls and superficially pushed the date back to give him some breathing room.

the letter usually takes a week to be delivered . I got my approval letter fr my local office in Miami last week too. Congrats.

i just got a card production email fr their website today. Took exactly 2 weeks fr the approved date for them to change my case status. As long as u have the approval letter, u r good.
