This is a quick snapshot of the letter. What they're asking for is quite ridiculous in my opinion. But if they only adjusted the original instructions for filing it would lead to far less RFEs..

At my wife's request we called USCIS hotline today since we've reached the six month mark. We were informed that VCS is presently processing petitions from May 5 2011 onward. Therefore, we are still within processing timeframe.

Interestingly she said "Vermont Service Center has received a lot of Removal of Conditions petitions and that is why they are behind the six month goal." Not certain if that is the reason for not meeting the six month goal, but that's what was given.

Hi,

Just updating... I received a txt and an email saying that my GC had been delivered last Monday the 23rd. So I went to the PO Box to get it today! It's nice and shinny with the new green design.

Godspeed to all of you who are still waiting!

See ya in July filing for citizenship!

At my wife's request we called USCIS hotline today since we've reached the six month mark. We were informed that VCS is presently processing petitions from May 5 2011 onward. Therefore, we are still within processing timeframe.

Interestingly she said "Vermont Service Center has received a lot of Removal of Conditions petitions and that is why they are behind the six month goal." Not certain if that is the reason for not meeting the six month goal, but that's what was given.

It does seem like VSC has received more applications in the last 18 months, but it also seems like their completion numbers have gone down - http://dashboard.uscis.gov/index.cfm?formtype=15&office=6&charttype=1

I would assume those two factors are playing a key role....
