hannah! i missed the part where YOU HAD THE BABY! many congratulations! so now you got the house, you had the baby.... just he green card left! two out of three!

edit: whidbey, <sigh> december seemed so much nicer for an approval. january is bleak month, at least it is here in vermont. thanks for keeping the info updated.

I did receive a NOA for a ONE YEAR EXTENSION

no green card yet...

I got the text message this afternoon: "your case has been updated"

I checked the status online of our case:

"On October 18, 2011, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283"

Just curious - how do you sign up to get a text??

You go to the case status webpage

https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/Dashboard.do

and add your case to your portfolio and then you can have email and text message updates, check status online etc. I did it from my I130 application and it really beats checking over and over, the information is the same as when you call, supposedly the most up to date info.

I never had my case status change to decision it just jumped from review to document ordered

USCIS Customers (applicants or petitioners) and Representatives (such as lawyers, charitable groups, or corporations) who require regular access to status information about multiple cases can create an account to more conveniently access this information. In addition, USCIS Customers and Representatives can choose to receive automatic case status updates, which will be sent via e-mail. A new pilot program provides the additional option to receive a text message notification that a case status update has occurred, which will be sent to a United States mobile phone number. LOL! I just checked the spread sheet and I've notice that my "ETA" had gone from December 2011 to January 2012.?! Now, I'm not sure how to feel about it.
