August 2011 interview possibility

Hi, I am very new to this forum. My husband's case currently completed at the NVC May 24, 2011. We are currently waiting for an interview. When I first called, the operator informed me that they only schedule interviews every second week in the month and told me to call back June 15th. I called them back and they said unfortunately they could not schedule an interview for July due to the limited slots and asked me to call back July 15th. Currently, it's been four weeks since the case completed. When I call the AVR, it says to wait until 8 weeks. I was wondering, is there a possibility that our case could be scheduled for August? I know there was a backlog since the situation that happened in Egypt. What happens if we're not contacted before 8 weeks?

My lawyer informed me they call the Moroccan embassy on the 8th of the month so I guess every embassy has a day to call. I hope your interview does not come in Ramadan. that would be a little difficult. HOpe also you think to have support of your spouse for this. It is very important. I was in NVC from beginning of May to this month and am scheduled July 26th Good luck and check into the site where you paid the invoices. When it says SIF (Signed in failed) your case is complete and interview is sceduled and you should hear soon after. Incha allah.

Just to be honest with you, I do not think you will make an August interview either. There are many people still waiting for MONTHS since their completion date at the NVC. Our case was completed at the NVC January 31, 2011, and we didnt get an interview until July 21st. So in saying this you will see couples from February, March, April and May are ahead of you and still waiting for an interview. My advice settle in for the wait. Also don't listen to the NVC workers, I about went crazy listening to them and their different stories. Matter of fact call them 3 times in one day and you will see you will get 3 different stories with each call. I am sorry if I am not telling you what you want to hear, but it is the truth. Read previous threads here in the Egypt portal and you will see I am being so honest with you. Best wishes!

No offense but your kinda giving out the wrong info to the OP. While usually yes SIF/CC means an interview will be scheduled soon, it is not the case right now with the Egyptian Embassy. With the Embassy's closure in January of this year and not re-opening until April 10th there is a huge backlog of Spousal visas sitting at the NVC awaiting an interview to be scheduled. Until these interviews are scheduled... FEBRUARY, MARCH, APRIL, even early May the OP WILL NOT have an interview scheduled. There is a pecking order to be followed and unfortunately the OP is at the bottom of that order right now. I know because I was one of those awaiting an interview for my husband. We got an email on May 29th scheduling his interview for July 21st. Yet many of our friends and fellow Egypt filers are still waiting for their interview. Each country is different and has different circumstances regarding scheduling interviews, and right now Egypt Embassy is a special case. For sure the OP will not get an interview scheduled ahead of others that have been stalled at the NVC for MONTHS NOW!!! I realize this isnt what the OP hoped to hear but it is the plain ole ugly truth. I drove myself crazy always calling and asking if there was any word on an interview date! So I guess I was hoping to spare the OP the same, but I know people are people and will do what they want.

Thank you so much and you're right, I didn't realize how many were ahead. I just hope that it all happens a little quicker. But you're right, it's all about waiting. Thank you all again for answering my questions.

yes true im Feb,15 case compeleted and didnt hear from the embassy till now ,not me only many vj feb.cas compeleted and still waiitng, im really frustrated but no way we have to wait and it seems that i have to forget july depend on people say here that during 2 first weeks of each month they update cases ,today its june.19 so i have to forget july and dream with august ,6 months to have this interview for me and my littel kids is that fair?
