"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

If you must know, he walked back in the living room and told me to put down the phone -- to actually be present. I complied. It was a perfectly lovely evening with lots of red wine and chocolates that he handmade from scratch, by which I mean from the cacao bean itself. I think having a chocolatier from the Dirty South who also plays guitar in a punk band for a boyfriend is pretty awesome.star_smile.gif

I don't need to dress provocatively for him to find me beautiful, witty and the woman he wants to be with all the time. Nothing like a man who appreciates you and isn't afraid to tell you, who's rugged and masculine but cooks you amazing food because he wants to share a passion of his with you. We all have different tastes, and his is me -- feminist, jean-wearing, mouthy, cranky me. And, he says, he wouldn't have me any other way.

I hope it works out for the long run....but there's some warning signs I can see.

1) He personally cooked hand made chocolates

2) He's a musician

3) He drinks red wine

4) He's dating a feminist

How come you just don't go for a regular guy? Forget the musicians, artist, sensitive guys...etc...and go for a normal guy? Your going to be way happier in the end imo.

Never ending chocolates? Are you kidding me??!!

98.26% of women would be sold on Point 1, alone.

Don't interrupt me when I'm talking to myself

He is a normal guy -- this image of a "regular guy" that you promote is totally alien to me. Plus, I've seen your picture... Try telling a 6 foot tall, heavy-set, half-Korean dude on a motorcycle with a mohawk that he's a pansy. He'd knock you cold but he's a lover, not a fighter. And he makes the best pork chops I've ever had.

And dude, YOU'RE the one driving around with a bottle of Freixenet in the back of your pickup.

I know! He brought out a bag of beans for me to smell. Absolutely divine. When a big bear of a man feeds you hand-dipped chocolate-coated strawberries, you get weak in the knees.

LOL...I'm 6'4" , 235lbs and an Iron Worker/pipe fitter (ask Charles to hook you up with the link to my FB page). I don't have a mohawk ,and I sold my Harley years ago. But ya, "regular guy" doesn't have a mohawk, doesn't cook hand made chocolates, drink red wine, play music, etc...

Not sure who's been feeding you the "what's normal info", but their lying to you.

In my experience, and in my world, he's a regular guy. But more important, he's a deeply good person who respects me, wants to make me happy in everything he does and makes me want to reciprocate. I have a terrible feeling he might be the one to convince me to settle down.star_smile.gif

Sorry, I'm kind of giddy these days.blush.gif
