If you must know, he walked back in the living room and told me to put down the phone -- to actually be present. I complied. It was a perfectly lovely evening with lots of red wine and chocolates that he handmade from scratch, by which I mean from the cacao bean itself. I think having a chocolatier from the Dirty South who also plays guitar in a punk band for a boyfriend is pretty awesome.

I don't need to dress provocatively for him to find me beautiful, witty and the woman he wants to be with all the time. Nothing like a man who appreciates you and isn't afraid to tell you, who's rugged and masculine but cooks you amazing food because he wants to share a passion of his with you. We all have different tastes, and his is me -- feminist, jean-wearing, mouthy, cranky me. And, he says, he wouldn't have me any other way.

2) He's a musician

How come you just don't go for a regular guy? Forget the musicians, artist, sensitive guys...etc...and go for a normal guy? Your going to be way happier in the end imo.

Try telling a 6 foot tall, heavy-set, half-Korean dude on a motorcycle with a mohawk that he's a pansy. He'd knock you cold but he's a lover, not a fighter. And he makes the best pork chops I've ever had.

In my experience, and in my world, he's a regular guy. But more important, he's a deeply good person who respects me, wants to make me happy in everything he does and makes me want to reciprocate. I have a terrible feeling he might be the one to convince me to settle down.
