Hello,

I sent my I751 in late april, it wnet to the california centre, which is close to our house. Received the letter of extension within a week and they cashed. I still have not received anything since may 5. Is that normal? or something wrong? My canadian passport is expiring soon. I am renewing that also, what happens when i get my 10 year green card. WOuld they need my passport to stamp the 10 year visa? like they did initially when i moved here.

Thanks

There is no 10 year visa.

It is a green card that does not expire for 10 years.

You need to have your biometrics taken that depends on your closest center on how busy they are. After you do the biometrics you wait some more until they either decide to give you an interview or approve your green card and mail it.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

Hi, thanks for the correction. I always make that mistake. I meant to say 10 year green card. I received a letter in early may stating that my greencard has been extended for one more year. However it is middle of june and still haven't heard from them about biometrics or anything else. I am worried.

to file the 1-751 it should take about 5 months from start to finish, you should be getting a appointment letter very soon to have your biometrics taken, and all the back round checks are done, approved you will receive your 10 year permanent resident card.no need for your passport.

My question is why haven't i received my NOA? i just received that my gc was extended for one more year. LOoking at the post others have received their NOA's within weeks. Mine is over a month now.

Hi

the NOA is the extension letter that you got. what are you waiting for is the biometrics. I would contact them and ask them about that, usually after 30 days (from your NOA date)you can contact the USCIS.

Good luck
