Filed for a 2010 Tax Extension - what should my wife bring to the interview

Hi All,

I have filed for a Tax Extension for 2010. My Wife's interview is in Chennai on June 27. I have sent her copies of my tax extension form, cover letter, and check. Will she need anything else? Do you think they may hassle her?

Are you self employed? If so, that may be an issue.

If a wage/salary earner is your current annualized income enough to meet the requirement?

Have you been able to find an answer to your question? I'm in the same situation, however I am a salaried employee.

Thanks for the link- I had actually read this and I'm not sure if I'll receive anything from the IRS by late August (at the time of my wife's interview)- in which case it seems I'll have nothing new to show them, and the consulate ought to be fine with the tax transcripts and letter from my employer that I had sent to the NVC. I'm really hoping this much will suffice
