Hi all... sorry, I know I have read the answer to this question here on VJ, but I can't find it now to confirm.

At the moment nothing is written/stamped on the back of my photos (6 in total, 2 for each) - what info SHOULD be there? Can I just write it in pen myself?

thanks,

M

Adjusting from K-1

06/24/11 - mailed AOS/EAD/AP applications to Chicago Lockbox

06/29/11 - received email notification of arrival

08/05/11 - still no word on EAD - no RFE, no NOA... Wondering if this is something to worry about?!

08/11/11 - biometrics apt in Fairbanks (apt letter listed AOS only)

By "case number," I assume you mean A#. Correct?

Do we really need 6 photos???!! We just sent in my AOS packet with a total of two passport sized photos in a baggie with "photo of: [my husband's name]" written in felt tipped pen and attached to the G-325A. We included the EAD (I-765) but did not file for AP. Did I miss 2 photos that should have been included? Or is it okay to have the 2 count for the whole packet?

Okay well I just investigated the answer to my question and I see that many people disagree whether 2 photos count for the whole packet regardless of EAD/AP or if 2 photos are needed for each form when filing concurrently. I guess I'll just wait and see if I get RFE'd!

It actually says what to do on the instructions... (name and alien number) I'm not trying to be rude but if you missed that then you may have missed something else so re-read the instructions carefully. Here: http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-485instr.pdf page 3 under the "photo" heading.

Actually no-one should disagree on what is REQUIRED because the instructions for each form quite clearly say two photos are REQUIRED for each form. Some people think because you're doing a concurrent filing that the extra photos shouldn't be needed however there is no statement saying that concurrent filers are exempt from this requirement.

I personally decided to do what I was told/read, not what I "thought". No-one that i've seen has had issues sending only two, but why risk something as important as your status when getting photos done is so cheap!

It was an accident, I was trying to do what I was told/read but I messed up. I admit it, sometimes when I read the forms I get confused. I admit that I am not a professional and this is my first time doing anything like this and I make mistakes. I just hope I have not risked the status of my husband and that they will go easy on me with a RFE.

Wow, I don't know your intent, but this is suppose to be a safe place to ask question.

Patience is required for this process.

You might not even get an RFE for them. Some people have supplied only 2, and been fine that way. If you do get an RFE for passport photos, no biggie to fix that quickly. :)

What do you mean you don't know what my intent was? I answered the question about photos. I responded to a comment stating that people disagree about how many photos to send. I stated the REQUIREMENTS. I stated what I chose to do. This is a "safe place" to ask questions if you want to say it like that... and I answered the question.

I wasn't talking about you directly. Please don't think I was insulting you, I was referring to the statement that some people think 2 photos is fine... these people eople CHOOSE to only send two photos. Accidents happen (I almost made a REAL big mistake but caught it in time) but I think the choice to ignore the rules/requirements is foolish. That said, as others have said many people have been fine sending two and even if you end up with an RFE (which I doubt honestly unless they pick on you because it would be the first time I've seen one) fixing that RFE is easy :) My main point is, it says 6 so send six. They throw them out who cares, but I hate RFE's!
