So my fiance had his second "interview" today. He was denied. He was given several forms. Some included E601, G325A, and OF221. He was told we'd have to pay a fee of $545. They kept All of his paperwork (even the copies). They still have his passport too. I already contacted the Congressman. I can't believe this. I'm not going to give up.

Because of an arrest that happened in 2004 that he did not have to spend time in jail for.

I think you mean I-601 rather than E601. The I-601 is a request for a waiver of inadmissibility based on hardship. The filing fee is $585.

Time for you to lawyer up. Don't tackle an I-601 on your own. I suggest you contact Laurel Scott. She's one the best in the business, and specializes in waivers.

Yes, my fiance was so angry he was half hearing what they told him. I'm going to look into that lawyer. I know absolutely nothing about the waiver (except few things I researched today). I really was expecting this. I appreciate it. Thanks.

Sorry. I am in the same boat. My finace's visa was denied this week too from Morocco. I have been heartbroken this entire week. Did you file for the K1 visa twice or did he have two interviews? Why was he denied the first time?

Yeah, it's been so bad for me too. I feel like my world's been torn apart. This is the first time filing the fiance visa for us. For his first interview, they requested a court document regarding an arrest and tax documents for me and co-sponsor. He brought the requested papers, but they wanted another document from the court with more of an explanation. Then when he brought those papers to the embassy, they sent him away and told him to wait. They gave him an appointment to "talk" a couple days later, then denied him. The reason for denial was for an arrest that happened in 2004. I don't even know where to begin with the waiver stuff :'(
