Hello Every one. Today i received Interview letter and requested me to bring Any evidence of selective service registration at the date of the interview.

I came to US at age 28 and now i am 32, from what i read that any one enter US after age 26 are nor required to register. so why they are asking me to bring SS registration???

any idea?

It is ok to register for the letter of exemption from registering for selective service. You can do so by going to http://www.sss.gov/Status.html and clicking on the Request For Status Information Letter. You will need to complete the form, provide copies of your passport with your date of entry stamp on it. The letters can take up to 6-9 months to receive.
