Canuck Riots

This was disgusting and the people who did this had it planned ahead of time. The TRUE fans stayed in the arena or at home and celebrated the Bruins getting the Stanley Cup for playing the better game. The TRUE fans also support the Canuck's for a hard fought season and look forward to a better outcome next year. I thought the news would be focused on the game not the sorry display of these fools and those who chose to stay and give them an audience.

The people of Vancouver were out helping clean up the mess made by these fools and hope to see them held accountable, and hope they are made to make restitution to those businesses who can not afford the losses they've taken.

Clean-up Vancouver

I was shocked to see what happened to my city, yet this is what bullies and anarchists do it seems.

Yep Kimbear, remember when the Canadians won the cup in 1994? How bad was it then?

yep, for the most part it was people who were not involved in the hockey game, just an excuse to be morons!!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Completely embarrassing and disgusting. I can't respect a fanbase that can't simply say "good game" to the other team and move on. This is childish, dangerous, and I'm sure not how the majority of Canucks fans and Vancouver residents want to be portrayed. This is a city that just last year graciously and professionally hosted the Olympics and look what they've done to that reputation. Awful.

True.

And it has nothing to do with being Canadian really. I've seen lots of cities all over the world riot because of a sporting event. I just wish it hadn't happened. It looks horrible.

QFT. I don't think these riots are indicative of any greater behavior. At least in Vancouver they didn't riot until the Finals, unlike Montreal fans who rioted after winning a first round series.

Fact of the matter is, sports fans riot. It sucks, but that is the ultimate deficiency of law enforcement, numbers.

It's disgusting and an embarrassment to the whole Country! I've always been proud to be Canadian, however I am appalled at the childish behavior displayed in Vancouver last night. :o:unsure::(:bonk:
