Great News to Come Home From Work To!!!

I got home from work today, and my awesomely wonderful husband told me that we had mail. We got a letter from USCIS, and he waited for me to get home to open it!

Brief history of our case:

We filed in December, RFE'd a week later, replied with evidence a week after that. Then the end of Jan, we received notice for an interview (no biometrics to date), but it was RIGHT after we had submitted Change Of Address, changing our District Office. They then canceled that interview and we've been on the edge of our seate waiting for updates or any sort of Notification that our case is progressing, and at our new DO....

So, today, FINALLY, we got a NEW request to appear for initial interview!!!

Our original interview would have been this Friday... but we aren't too far behind now, since his NEW interview will be Wednesday, April 5, 2006!!!!

I've been obsessively checking the USCIS site hoping to get "touched" or something... but now I can finally be at ease for a while. Until the interview at least....

So, all we need now is Biometrics, which due to recent trends, will probably be scheduled the day of that interview. And we probably wasted money on the EAD, but oh well. :dancing:WE HAVE AN INTERVIEW DATE!!!! :dancing:

11/11/2005 -- Chris Arrived in US on K-1 Visa

11/21/2005 -- Married in Vegas!

12/05/2005 -- Mailed AOS/EAD

04/05/2006 -- AOS Interview and Bio (issued at the interview)

06/10/2006 -- Welcome letter arrives

06/23/2006 -- Green Card Arrives

Lifting Conditions

03/10/2008 -- Mailed I-751 Packet to USCIS

03/14/2008 -- NOA Arrives!! (also check is cashed)

04/07/2008 -- Bio Appt Letter Arrives!

04/17/2008 -- Bio Appt

10-22-2008 - Package received and signed.

10-28-2008 - Cheque cashed

12-02-2008 - Biometrics in Boston

10-03-2009 - Transferred to CSV

10-04-2009 - 10 year GC on the way

Thanks everyone! We are so VERY excited about it!

My poor husband is getting a little stir-crazy... Luckily he has our two Kitties to keep him company, but I'm sure as many of you know the lack of an EAD and SSN can be rather debilitating...

4/26/08 recieved biometrics appointment letter plus it looks like our case has been forwarded to California!

5/02/08 Biometrics scheduled

5/02/08 Biometrics completed in 10 mins!

Woo Hoo....8/28/08 Recieved 10yr Greencard in mail, no approved email!! We are done!!!

February 22nd 06 - EAD Approved via e mail

March 6th 06 - Got a job!

March 17th 06 - Green Card Approval via e mail

March 18th 06 - 'Welcome to America' letter arrives
