Administrative processing complete but stil waiting

In May 1st week ,my husband were informed that his administrative processing is complete(Took almost 10 month to finished). They asked for the passport.he submit his passport and this is 6th week after that , no response from the embassy.VFS status shows as :YOUR PASSPORT IS IN PROCESS AT US CONSULATE/EMBASSY".I contacted the DOS and they told me that case is still uner AP.I am very confused about this situation.Does any one know if it takes longer like 6 weeks or more? Any ideas or examples of how long people have had to wait? However I couldnt find any case where they asked for passports and later rejected the application.

If the embassy takes phone calls, tell them the the VFS status shows that your passport is in process at the embassy. Ask them if they need something else from you or if they are reviewing your case. You might have to ask specific questions. If they don't take calls, than email them.

One thing that I have learned throughout this process is that anything can happen at anytime and it is important to try to remain positive.
