Can someone please tell me how long does the London embassy keep the passport when issuing a visa - i have my interview on the 22nd June and i have to travel the 30th for a week end but i am wondering how long the embassy keep the passport for?

Could go either way.... you'll PROBABLY get it back if you dont get put in AP and you pay extra to expedite the delivery.

Good luck! It usually only takes London a business day or two to print the visa and get it to the courier, and then you can pay for next day delivery from the courier. make sure you tell the courier service person you want to pay extra to expedite, Duds said they didn't ask and just said however much the normal one is, and he had to ask about rush delivery.

I didn't have to wait long either..and like you, I had to travel too.

But as someone else said, it could go either way. Some people waited a while. They do say to you during the interview, if you are approved, that it can up to 10 business days though.
