I wouldn't trust the site too much since I got the approval letter yesterday but the website still shows that it is under initial review. We filed our petition on February 24 2011. Now we are waiting for the NVC papers to come which if the timelines all say it correctly should be within the next couple of weeks.

For curiousity I looked up a couple of IR1/CR1 (I-130) case numbers and see where USCIS CSC is at currently.

Today is June 14, 2011 so the USCIS web site could only have information as late as June 13.

The latest case number which is approved, is WAC1190290090, approved on June 13, 2011, which is yesterday. Judging from near by case number it was first filed on March 12, 2011. Curiously cases as early as WAC1190285000 is approved on the same day.

So it looks to me they are trying to catch up and are trying to approve cases in as short as 3 months, but will probably not go shorter than 3 months, for the bulk of cases.

I will update this thread from time to time and see how fast the approved case numbers are moving.

I wish this was accurate, unfortunately, I am a January filer...my case hasnt been touched since February. I can look at numbers just before mine and after mine that are approved, and numbers over 1000 before mine that are sitting just like mine in initial review. Actually, a ton of files received the same date as mine by USCIS, January 31, 2011 are sitting in initial review, almost like they were put in a box and forgotten about. But here's hoping and praying that something good happens for all of us soon.

It's important to understand that at best, petitions are processed in the order received, not approved in the order received. There are various reasons why cases are delayed at potentially several of the steps in adjudication. Unfortunately, there's no window into what is actually happening.

Today I spotted two approved cases which are after mine:

WAC1190297194, WAC1190297195. Both were filed on March 16, 2011 and approved on June 2, 2011.

I checked a few thousand tonight caused I keep a log to find out when they appear to dump out a bunch due to quots or whatever reasons. And I am trying to analyze for trends. So today I was able to cvount over 700 cases that were all give NOA1 on May 24th and I am not done counting them yet so it could be 1000 that were put into the system that day. Anyhow a couple numbers approved before others are

wac1190310122-approved June 23. applied 3/23?

310353-6/23 approve. applied 3/24?

Many of the 300000-310000 had approvals from 6/21/ and 6/22/11.

427362 approved june 13 from May 24th. Incredible. Congrats!! Not even 1 month at uscis. I am happy for everyone, I just want them to keep moving them thru!:dance:
