As he should be. There is a lot of $hit piled up around that guy.

It will catch up to him. Fact of the matter is, he used his office for his own personal gain. Whether that was to cover up other actions remains to be seen. I do agree that it is pretty pathetic to hoist him up as someone to emulate. He's a corrupt politician (I won't call him a cop because he is elected, and thusly not subject to the same vetting process that police officers are).

My only concern would be job seekers whom employers would like to hire but are rejected through e-verify be given notice of the failure and a chance to rectify the situation. Otherwise it sounds good.

That, and any potential data mis-entry that denies employment to a USC (or any work-eligible person, for that matter.) As long as there's a recourse for those wrongly denied employment and never given an opportunity to contest it (i.e., any employer who does NOT inform the potential employee that they did not pass the check can be held civilly liable), then good.gif. Or, at the very least, an individual should have the right to verify their own status at will to make sure there are no unexpected barriers to legal employment.
