Please guys if you know an agency or which is the best way to send my stuff and that could really help me. Shipping is going to be cheaper than sending it by air, in general. How much stuff do you have? I paid £500 to send 40 cubic feet of stuff through Excess Baggage.

So how much are you taking? Heavy stuff? You've got to figure that out. Are you wanting to insure your things? That adds on to the cost.

Here's an old UK shipping thread with many companies and many experiences. Yes it's another shipping thread

Thing is--what you ship may be totally different, so what worked for one person, may not work for another. I have also heard of people using Parcel Monkey which is not in that thread. Some people pay for extra luggage charges on the airplane if it's not too much stuff. So that's back to the question "how much are you taking?

Sounds like the sort of stuff that might be better to leave in the UK for the time being, since the shipping costs will be a substantial percentage of the value of the goods you're shipping. If you plan on some return trips home in the not too distant future then you can plan to carry some of it back with you on each trip.

12/15/2009 - K1 Visa Interview - APPROVED!

12/29/2009 - Married in Oakland, CA!

08/18/2010 - AOS Interview - APPROVED!

05/01/2013 - Removal of Conditions - APPROVED!

I agree.

I actually brought only a few clothes with me, only my favorites ones and at the end, most of them stay in the closet now.

New country, new life, new clothes!

Clothing is much cheaper here than in Europe and fashion is different.

I had about the same weight of extra bagages, what I did was two boxes that I sent thru regular postal service without any insurance so it was not too bad, about 200€ tho.

But it was a mix of clothes and personnal stuffs, little things that help me to feel home here but that are not too valuable.

Like a layer of cloth, a layer of things then another layer of clothes.

Packages arrived just fine in perfection condition.

This option is probably the best for you too.
