OK, so we just home from Memphis and .... I PASSED!!! Woohoo!!!

I had the nicest USCIS Officer I have ever had! My interview was scheduled for 10.10am and I was called in at 10.45am. I was in and out in 10 minutes.

My six questions were:

Who came to America and was sold as slaves?

Who is the vice President?

What is the highest court in the US?

Why did the colonists fight the British?

Who makes federal laws?

How old do you have to be to vote for president?

I had to read: Who can vote?

I had to write: Citizens can vote.

I couldn't get over the size of my file on her desk. It was like 4 or 5 inches high! She said because I had sent sufficient evidence on my marriage (since i was applying based on the 3 year marriage to a USC) that she didn't need to see anything. Of course I had a binder full of all sorts of evidence just in case!

She told me I should receive my Oath Ceremony letter within the next couple of months. She also said that my interview had gone so fast and easy, she thought she was forgetting something.

Now the waiting game for the oath letter.

Just had my oath today at 11 am in Little Rock, Ar. Kindly update my status. Thank you all Vj members for the help in this journey.

Arrive at the courthouse at 9am. Appointment time is 9:30am. Have to give my appointment letter and gc. We have to move to the courtroom at around 10:15. It started at 10:55. We have to say our name and country of origin before we get certificate. They gave us flag and pin. We're done at 11:45. We have to drive back home since hubby has a class at 1pm.
