Just out of curiosity - are you receiving these because you signed up on uscis.gov online case tracking or is it to do with the G-1145? Since AOS and ROC did not have such "luxuries", I am baffled by

You can register on uscis.gov and they will send you emails telling you where they are in the process. We got an email saying they had mailed a biometrics notice so I knew it would be coming soon!

2006-11-05 Exchanging our vows, what a beautiful day for our wedding!

Yes!! I finally am a CITIZEN!!! I can't believe all the waiting and stress is behind me!

My day AWESOME and the ceremony was OK - it lasted about 2 hours.

Happy Halloween, everybody!!!!

Why is the USCIS Lincoln, Nebraska Lockbox moving so slowly while everyone else for the month of June is moving right along and getting their citizenship?

It seems that nobody is updating their status on this thread. Are you still waiting for your Oath? Sorry I did not back track your post.

Hi,

I filed N400 in July and completed my FP on 8/23/11. I am waiting for Interview from Fairfax, VA office. The web site shows lot of backlog in this office. Does anyone can give educated guess when I can expect interview. I would like to hear the experience of people who filed in June from Washington DC/Fairfax VA Office. Thanks

Welcome! You should join our July filers thread; our timelines are similar (fingerprints in mid-Aug). We will likely have our interviews in late January, based on what I'm seeing. If you look here at the timelines for May filers, you'll see there are 3 people from DC (the April thread doesn't have anybody from DC, so that doesn't help), but only one, Maya62, has gotten their interview letter. They did fingerprints in late June, so they got their letter about four months after fingerprints. The delays for the earlier threads (see February thread) were about 2-3 months from fingerprints to letter, so DC does seem to be slowing down. :whistle: None of the 3 DC people in the June filers thread has received a letter yet, but there is one June filer, "Niki," (see the "unusual attitude" thread) who isn't on the June filers thread, but who recently had her interview (says she did fingerprints in July).

7:00am: Ceremony.

6:15am: Left home thinking I am late.

6:55am: Arrived at the location, still thinking I am late. The waiting line was waaaaaaaaaaaay outside the building and it was cold today in Houston. Entered the building, handed by GC and oath letter where they checked the back of it, threw my GC in a pile and handed me a pink paper (they were handing grey, green, pink, orange and blue sheets of paper with the A# on them). Then they showed me my CON and verified the correctness of all the information (it was correct).

I went into the arena with my wife and sat down.

7:15am: Went into the arena where the ceremony is held and waited.

8:45am: An announcement: they will begin shortly.

9:00am sharp: the judge walks into the building and begins the ceremony. He talks a little to the newest citizens and then swears us in (yeaaaaay).

9:13am: we were dismissed as new citizens.

9:20am: They passed voters registration cards for us to fill in and they emphasized the fact that since the judge sweared us in and officially declared we are now US citizens, we can check the "US citizen" box.

Then we waited for someone to call a color, and the persons who have that color will leave the building and go back to the main entry location where we surrendered the GC when we arrived. There - we received our certificates.

Left at 10:23!!!
