Just got back from my trip back home and my new interview date was waiting for me. Woohoo. Congratulations to everyone who has passed their interviews and had their oath ceremonies. Good luck to all of us still moving along.

Just out of curiosity - are you receiving these because you signed up on uscis.gov online case tracking or is it to do with the G-1145? Since AOS and ROC did not have such "luxuries", I am baffled by

You can register on uscis.gov and they will send you emails telling you where they are in the process. We got an email saying they had mailed a biometrics notice so I knew it would be coming soon!

Hey guys,

I had N-400 interview this morning 9:10 am at the Federal plaza, New york. My wife and I got there around 8:30 am. Waited for maybe around 10 mins. I was called by a middle-aged female officer. She was very professional and polite. The interviewer went over each and each line of the application. Mine was based on 3 years of marriage to a US citizen. The interviewer was glad to see that I had copies of our driver licenses. She commented that she considers that an important evidence for marriage based naturalization application. She approved my case. I waited for about 1 1/2 hours to get the oath letter. My oath ceremony is scheduled for November 18, 2011. Overall it was a great day.:) I wish everyone gets a professional officer and a smooth interview. Good luck to everyone. The six civic question asked were:-

1) What happened on sept 11, 2001?

2) What is the name of the US national anthem?

3) What is the rule of law?

4) What is the ocean on the west coast?

5) How old do you have to be to vote?

6) Forgot the last one???

my oath ceremony is in one week, but the address on form N-445 in Los angeles is not correct.

I see two mistakes (typo)here:

1- the link http://www.cacd.uscourts.gov/CACD/GenInfo.nsf/5f050bfbacb399fd882567c8005ad845/4e345f626837d38788256815005aa932?OpenDocument shows that there is no oath ceremony date for oct.26 in US district court central District,

2- the zipcode 90012 is for district court and not for Convention Center

PASSED!!!!

Yesterday was so busy I couldn't even reply or post a quick message.

Interview at 12, got there 11:40am. Went in, dropped the letter in the box and took a seat. Around 12:10 my name was called and I was escorted through a long hallway to my IOs office.

He was nice to explain the process about the civics, oral and written exam, then he proceeded to ask me to raise my right hand and swear.

He asked for my GC and passport - no state ID. Verified information on them and then proceeded to ask the civics.

1. How many amendments does the Constitution have?

2. Who makes federal laws?

3. What is the name of the Vice President of the US now?

4. What is the highest court in the US?

5. What group of people was taken to American and sold as salves?

6. Whay did the colonists fight the British?

He stopped here - signed a document indicating that I answered all 6 questions correctly. Then he handed me a paper with 4 questions on it and asked me to read the first one: "Who can vote?" Then he took it back and signed on it that I passed the reading portion. He then handed me a different paper and asked me to write "Citizens can vote"... he signed it that I passed.

He then told me that we will go over the application - asked simple questions about if my current address is still valid, and if my current employer is still valid, then he went over part 10 of the application - skimmed mostly over the questions related to affiliations, good moral character, etc.

Then he started writing some things on the application, asked me to write my name and sign it, and then handed me the N-??? with the box checked saying Congratulations, you are being recommended to approval.

Then he told me that my oath is most likely to be on November 9th, but he was only able to tell me that verbally. The weird part is he told me that I may receive an oath letter or may receive a call the day before (Nov 8th) asking me if I can attend the oath(????)

I was out of the office at 1:05pm...

Thanks to Sheila526 & Heliosphan for the wishes.

Heliosphan - They do give out the oath ceremony letter same day at the federal plaza, New york city. I had to wait for 1.5 hours to receive it yesterday. But, it was definitely worth it.

N-400 based on 3 year marriage to a US Citizen:-

DO: New York City

November 2007 - Got I-751 approved & received 10 year Green Card.

June 14, 2011 - Mailed N-400 package by USPS Express mail to Lewisville, TX

June 15, 2011 - N-400 package received by USCIS lockbox at Lewisville, TX

June 15, 2011 - Priority Date

June 17, 2011 - Check cashed.

June 20, 2011 - EMAIL NOTIFICATION, Will recv Receipt Notice (Form I-797) in 7-10 day

June 23, 2011 - Received I797c NOA in mail.

June 23, 2011 - Received Biometrics mailed text/email

June 27, 2011 - Received Biometrics notice in mail (Appt date: 07/15

July 08, 2011 - Walk-In Biometrics done.

July 12, 2011 - Received email stating "Placed in line for interview scheduling."

Sept 12, 2011 - Received text/email stating "Your N400, APPLICATION FOR NATURALIZATION is now scheduled for interview."

Sept 15, 2011 - Received Intervew letter in mail.

Oct 19, 2011 - Interview at 26, Federal Plaza, New York City. PASSED.

Nov 18, 2011 - Oath ceremony.
