Awesome news!

Hi everyone,

Could our timeline be updated? We got the oath letter in the mail today.

Oath is Sept 27th in Oakland (we're in SF).

I had my interview today. I arrived 20 minutes early for my appointment. They called me 40 minutes later than the scheduled time. The IO was really nice. The interview went smoothly as I hoped for. Here are the questions as part of my civic test:

1. When was the Constitution written?

2. When must all men register for the Selective Service?

3. What is freedom of religion?

4. How many U.S. Senators are there?

5. What are two rights of everyone living in the United States.

6. Name one state that borders Canada.

7. What ocean is on the East Coast of the United States?

I answered all of them correctly. I was wondering why they asked 7 questions when I answered all of them correctly. I've been reading about other's interview experiences and also was asked 7 questionswacko.gif

Just out of curiosity - are you receiving these because you signed up on uscis.gov online case tracking or is it to do with the G-1145? Since AOS and ROC did not have such "luxuries", I am baffled by

You can register on uscis.gov and they will send you emails telling you where they are in the process. We got an email saying they had mailed a biometrics notice so I knew it would be coming soon!

Thank you :) Got approved today. Everything was extremely fast and easy. The officer just went through the Form, asked me to write "The People elect Congress", etc

Then I waited for 10 minutes to get the final approval and received the Oath invitation for October 26.

Hi guys.. Been following this post.. Im also a june filer.. I need to go back to Phils ASAP and my application is still pending. Is it just ok? is it going to affect/delay my naturalization? i dont have interview sched yet.. Hope somebody can answer my questions.. . Thanks.

The basic answer is yes - you are allowed to travel without any restrictions. It does not affect your naturalization process unless you happen to be out of the country when your interview is scheduled - then you will either have to come back (change plans) or you need to reschedule your interview. If you reschedule, then it will delay your naturalization only because they have to send you a new interview date which will be pushed out another month or two but it is not going to be a punishment type of delay...

When you go to your interview, the IO will ask you if anything changed since you applied and you can mention the trip you took - they will note it in the application and move on with your interview... simple
