That sucks, where will you be? Can you come back a couple days early?

Ahhhh.. my worst nightmare. We received our notices for our Interview ( Thank you USCIS... they kept me and my daughter's applications together the entire process... even our interview dates are same date/time).

Problem is... the date 10/05/11 - I'm out of the country until Oct 6th! So, I have to reschedule the appointment.

Just out of curiosity - are you receiving these because you signed up on uscis.gov online case tracking or is it to do with the G-1145? Since AOS and ROC did not have such "luxuries", I am baffled by

You can register on uscis.gov and they will send you emails telling you where they are in the process. We got an email saying they had mailed a biometrics notice so I knew it would be coming soon!

I received a Yellow Letter today, asking me to bring my driver's license to my interview. But I have yet received the interview letter.

On top of that, I'm out of country starting from Tomorrow to Sep 22. Hopefully I will not miss my interview letter or my interview date. :(

Nope. I will be in Aruba. It will be way to expensive to rebook our tickets, the trip has been paid for months ago. And we have friends from other parts of the states who we are meeting there.

If you plan to reschedule - send in your request as soon as possible so you can also get rescheduled as soon as possible. It is a first-come-first-serve methodology.

Nope. I will be in Aruba. It will be way to expensive to rebook our tickets, the trip has been paid for months ago. And we have friends from other parts of the states who we are meeting there.

You should see some movement about interview scheduled soon. Your interview will not be scheduled so quickly so I wouldn't worry about having an interview prior to the 22nd. It usually is around 4 weeks from the date they send you the letter (rough estimate)... I would say yours will be in the beginning of October... just a guess...

Yep, I'm going to send it in Monday, and include a note that I'm not available 2 dates later in October, as knowing my luck.. the rescheduled date will be one of those 2 days....

Totally makes sense. We have a Disney vacation for mid-October and I was convinced the interview would be that week but luckily it's a week before!

08/08/2016 - NOA1s Notice date

08/09/2016 - NOA1s text message and email received

08/10/2016 - money orders: cashed

08/13/2016 - received NOA1s in the mail

08/24/2016 - touched

12/27/2016 - Cases Approved! (148 days or 4 months and 26 days total)

01/12/2017 - NVC Welcome Letters Received (Case Number + Invoice Number)

01/13/2017 - Completed DS-261

01/25/2017 - Received IV Fee

01/26/2017 - Paid AOS fee

01/30/2017 - Paid IV Fees

02/03/2017 - Completed IV and AR Application

02/23/2017 - sent NVC packets via USPS Priority Mail (note: I have to wait for my mom's police certificate, so there was a bit of a delay before I can send the package)

02/27/2017 - packets received at 11:30 am signed by N Visa Center

05/06/2017 - Case Completed

05/12/2017 - NVC scheduled the interview!

Hi everyone,

Could our timeline be updated? We got the oath letter in the mail today.

Oath is Sept 27th in Oakland (we're in SF).

I had my interview today. I arrived 20 minutes early for my appointment. They called me 40 minutes later than the scheduled time. The IO was really nice. The interview went smoothly as I hoped for. Here are the questions as part of my civic test:

1. When was the Constitution written?

2. When must all men register for the Selective Service?

3. What is freedom of religion?

4. How many U.S. Senators are there?

5. What are two rights of everyone living in the United States.

6. Name one state that borders Canada.

7. What ocean is on the East Coast of the United States?

I answered all of them correctly. I was wondering why they asked 7 questions when I answered all of them correctly. I've been reading about other's interview experiences and also was asked 7 questionswacko.gif
