My husband just got a yellow notice saying he had to bring his driver's license. Wouldn't people bring that anyway?!

Congrats! Did you get the approved notice? I am assuming they did because you didn't mention that the decision was not made....

Just curious about the requested material and the fact that the yellow letter did not request it......

Just out of curiosity - are you receiving these because you signed up on uscis.gov online case tracking or is it to do with the G-1145? Since AOS and ROC did not have such "luxuries", I am baffled by

You can register on uscis.gov and they will send you emails telling you where they are in the process. We got an email saying they had mailed a biometrics notice so I knew it would be coming soon!

I don't get it. Just checked the uscis website and it says I got an RFE yesterday. WTH?! How come I get an RFE after they approved my case? Does anybody know what is that about?

Well, two things come to mind. One is that the interview was taken place before your 3 or 5 yr, LPR anniversary. I heard some people getting RFE because of that. The second thing could be that the person who reviews the approval wanted to see the supporting documents that you did not have in hand...marriage certificate, proof you living together, etc. To my understanding, the approval or denial has to be reviewed by a second IO before formal approval is done, not necessarily the supervisor (that's another story). I think it is a way of check and balances within the department. ....

We got a yellow letter but all it asked for was my husband's driver's license. What else do you recommend we bring? We have the last 3 years of tax info from IRS as well

I recommend you take the copies of what you submitted for N-400 and the originals. In addition, take some extra paperwork that can serve as evidence in case they ask for anything else to prove your relationship.

I think with kids they might be satisfied that you are not married to obtain immigration status in the US.

06/28/11 .. Mailed N-400 package via Priority mail with delivery confirmation

06/30/11 .. Package Delivered to Dallas Lockbox

07/06/11 .. Received e-mail notification of application acceptance

07/06/11 .. Check cashed

07/08/11 .. Received NOA letter

07/29/11 .. Received text/e-mail for biometrics notice

08/03/11 .. Received Biometrics letter - scheduled for 8/24/11

08/04/11 .. Walk-in finger prints done.

08/08/11 .. Received text/e-mail: Placed in line for interview scheduling

09/12/11 .. Received Yellow letter dated 9/7/11

09/13/11 .. Received text/e-mail: Interview scheduled

09/16/11 .. Received interview letter

10/19/11 .. Interview - PASSED

Ahhhh.. my worst nightmare. We received our notices for our Interview ( Thank you USCIS... they kept me and my daughter's applications together the entire process... even our interview dates are same date/time).

Problem is... the date 10/05/11 - I'm out of the country until Oct 6th! So, I have to reschedule the appointment.
