Congrats! Glad it went well!!

I had my interview this past Monday. It went well and I'm now waiting for a letter for Oath ceremony scheduling.

It took me less than 10 minutes for the interview. The officer asked me the questions he had to (e.g., Have you been arrested?) and never asked to see the originals of any documents I had submitted (e.g., my husband's birth certificate or even our marriage license). Then he started the test, which I got all 7 right. Everything was smooth and swift. We drove 6 hours and spent a night in a hotel for this 'less than 10 minute' interview. Needless to say, we were happy it went well and we are forever done with the USCIS.

Just out of curiosity - are you receiving these because you signed up on uscis.gov online case tracking or is it to do with the G-1145? Since AOS and ROC did not have such "luxuries", I am baffled by

You can register on uscis.gov and they will send you emails telling you where they are in the process. We got an email saying they had mailed a biometrics notice so I knew it would be coming soon!

Received an e-mail stating that an interview is scheduled and will receive the interview letter in the mail within 14 days. Yesterday received a yellow letter asking us to bring additional documents at the time of interview.

Does anyone know the processing time difference if you file a N-400 as a military member versus filing the N-400 as a non-military member? My wife had her biometrics/fingerprinting on 8/8/2011, haven't been notified as to an interview date as of yet.

Also, our daughter/my step-daughter just turned 17, my wife filed the Single Application Fee to include biometrics/fingerprinting at a cost of $680. If my wife becomes a U.S. citizen prior to our daughters 18 birthday, will this make our daughter a U.S. citizen as well or do we have to submit additional paperwork for our daughter?

I had my interview this past Monday. It went well and I'm now waiting for a letter for Oath ceremony scheduling.

It took me less than 10 minutes for the interview. The officer asked me the questions he had to (e.g., Have you been arrested?) and never asked to see the originals of any documents I had submitted (e.g., my husband's birth certificate or even our marriage license). Then he started the test, which I got all 7 right. Everything was smooth and swift. We drove 6 hours and spent a night in a hotel for this 'less than 10 minute' interview. Needless to say, we were happy it went well and we are forever done with the USCIS.
