That's awful, sorry you had to go through that!! We found this website probably thanks to Google and it was so handy when applying for K-1, AOS and now Naturalization. Lots of informative and nice people!

I wish i found this site in 2006 - 2008 when i had to go through my "immigration nightmare" because the K1 visa number in my passport wasn't my A#

The IO at the embassy wanted to make sure that i understand " you have to use only the info shown in your passport when you apply for AOS".

This "mix up" created a 2 - 2 1/2 yrs delay due to "pending background checks" between Jul. 2006 and Dec. 2008!

But anyhow...

Can someone add me to the list, please?

Just out of curiosity - are you receiving these because you signed up on uscis.gov online case tracking or is it to do with the G-1145? Since AOS and ROC did not have such "luxuries", I am baffled by

You can register on uscis.gov and they will send you emails telling you where they are in the process. We got an email saying they had mailed a biometrics notice so I knew it would be coming soon!

Can I get updated? FP notice appt date 08/08/11, but went as a walk in today. We were in and out in 15 minutes. Talk about easy!! I had just left the DMV renewing my DL with a name change ... and that took 2 hours!

Nice, I think my husband is going to try to go this week for his early FP as well

Can I get updated? FP notice appt date 08/08/11, but went as a walk in today. We were in and out in 15 minutes. Talk about easy!! I had just left the DMV renewing my DL with a name change ... and that took 2 hours!

Yay! I hope you get your interview soon!

I completed my EFP on last Friday (7/15), today I received an email saying that my case was placed in line for interview scheduling. :)

Congratulations!!

Is this what they normally do? I've heard that they don't change your online status until they set you an interview date

Sort of confused here.

Yeah, it appears that once people get their biometrics, they get an email a couple days later saying they are in line for interview scheduling. Are you registered on the USCIS website? If you log on there, click on your application number, and hover over the interview circle, there is a description! And hello fellow Bostonian! What country are you from?

Congratulations!!

My husband is going for early FP this morning! I hope it goes smoothly!

I think processing time is listed around 5mo, could be longer. I was looking at timelines and many people seem to get approved in 2-3mo

I would like to join in June 2011 filers. My N 400 was received at USCIS on June 26, 2011 & they just have sent me a mail on July 20, 2011 for FP. Please list me in your chart.

How long it takes usually to get a naturalization certificate?

Can you provide us with the following?

1. Date you sent your application.

2. District Office or Field office

3. when your check was cashed (not very important if you don't know)

Hi, I'm from Russia :)) And thank you for the reply :) My husband and I went for our biometrics appointment on 07/08/2011 - still haven't heard anything back since then. Yes, I'm registered on their website and get email and text alerts. The website status still states that they sent me a biometrics appointment letter. Status is Initial Review.
