Just out of curiosity - are you receiving these because you signed up on uscis.gov online case tracking or is it to do with the G-1145? Since AOS and ROC did not have such "luxuries", I am baffled by

You can register on uscis.gov and they will send you emails telling you where they are in the process. We got an email saying they had mailed a biometrics notice so I knew it would be coming soon!

We got an email saying our biometrics notice was mailed out, but no date yet! This seems so much quicker than the permanent resident and fiance visa process, knock on wood!

I got the AOS and K-1 emails too. We registered on the USCIS website and you can set up to have your case info emailed to you! It's awesome, especially when you get an email saying whatever you are applying for is approved! We sent in the G-1145, but I think that was only to notify they received your application, whereas on the website, every time your application advances, they email you.

You're right, I noticed this process does seem different. A lot faster moving, knock on wood. Maybe it's because they have WAY less applicants than AOS?

That's what I thought. Thanks! It seems like your experience was different than the rest of us... the only update I received during ROC was the approval notice but nothing else. I even applied a while back for a re-entry permit and although I received it and it's been expired for more than two years now, it still shows it's status as "initial state"... Not too confident about that system but it appears to be better maintained for N-400 applications.

Awesome! We seem to be on the same timeline, so I wonder when interviews will be. Processing time said 5mo or less but it seems to be about 2 months. Still, after K-1 and AOS, 5mo sounds good to me!

That's what I thought. Thanks! It seems like your experience was different than the rest of us... the only update I received during ROC was the approval notice but nothing else. What is ROC? Sometimes I would get a "touch" on my application, but I wouldn't get a notification for two days to a couple months, it was strange!

Oh, had no idea it was called that! But yeah, I got emails for that as well. For the biometrics, application approved, card ordered, card mailed.

Yeah, i signed up for email alerts on uscis.gov. This process is definitely different than AOS and ROC!

Yeah 5 months is definitely faster than AOS! Sounds good to me too.

Does anyone know if the spouse and children are required at the Naturalization interview or oath ceremony? Does everyone interview no matter what? The only interview we have done is the one my husband had at the consulate in Sydney to actually get his fiance visa. We never had an interview for 2yr or 10yr green card.
