Hello everyone, hope you are all doing well and hanging in there. I was wondering if any of you could help me out. I am the USC, living in the US, and my fiance has moved, he is still in France, but at a different address. Does anyone know how I can go about having his address updated on our petition? I have contacted the USCIS, French Embassy, and NVC but they are all giving us the run around. I can't figure out how to change his address. Do they even need his currant address? Can anyone shed some light on this or tell me what I should do? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you everyone, I am so grateful every day for this website, and the wonderful people I have met here! Good luck to you all.

Moving from SPOUSE visa forum to Fiancee Visa Forum...

I would wait for petition to get approved and sent overseas, at that time, contact US Embassy and update them.

Steps:

  1. After USCIS approves and sends to NVC, contact NVC talk to an opperator and get a case number, at this point ask about address change.
  2. After getting a DOS case number contact US Embassy and inform them of address change.

Lastly, is there a mail forwarding order in place, or is there someone at the old address that can receive and forward mail?

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

Oh, sorry about posting in the wrong forum, I didn't realize. Thank you for changing it.

I will have my fiance look into attempting to get our mail forwarded, but we couldn't rely on receiving our mail in the first place. Letters from my family never seemed to arrive at our old addres, so I don't put much faith in that. When the time comes we will try to contact NVC and the embassy again to notify them of the address change.

Maybe you can have a look at this link from the USCIS website:

Has to do with Petitioner's change of address not beneficiary or with a permanent resident (Green-card holder) change of address. (In the USA)

In this case the benificiary changed address in foreign country.
