Some even have the A# printed on the visa itself.

we never received our noa2-it was lost in the mail. ive just applied for aos using my social security number & the noa1. if asked for a# i've said 'not known', it's not on my i94 0r k1 visa. matt

As the NOA2 was required to be sent with AOS.. what did you send instead? Just out of interest...

Also out of interest to anyone else reading do NOT trust the number written on the I-94 or K1. They are often wrong. Trust ONLY the NOA2.

It's on your I=129F NOA1 as well.

we sent the receipt of our i-129f petition, seems to have done the trick. although may get a possible rfe-it's been a couple of months, we'll see. all part of the stressful visa process lol. if we get asked for the noa2 we'll write a letter saying we never received it (rather than pay the $400 plus for a replacement) & go from there. matt

I put down the onw from NOA2 of K1 visa while filling out the form.

But they just assign a new one for my wife.

Your wife will only ever have ONE A number. If they've given her a new one it is an error. Call USCIS to correct it.

Most people recommend the NVC letter because it's prove the petition was approved.. but yeah, don't pay for a replacement. When all they need is a photocopy it's a COMPLETE waste of money :S

No it's not...

my husband's was on the letter saying it had been received by the NVC as well

Really? This must be a new process. Are you able to upload an image (deleting the personal info) to show what it looks like? Maybe it can get added to the immigration gallery as an example for new people :D

My husband's was not listed on the I-129F NOA2. It was never listed anywhere. He had to ask what it was at his POE. The officer was nice, and wrote it down for him in 2 different places, including the back of his I-94. It was the correct A#, and has been used on everything we have sent and received from USCIS since.

I have not seen anyone else state they had this same mistake before. Everyone seems to have theirs listed on their NOA2. I guess we just got 'lucky' with our unique, quirky, absent A# mistake. :P

When I was researching about what was needed for AOS, I read that the A# was there on the NOA2 above the name. I kept looking and looking at the NOA2 all over. I looked through all the paperwork, and never saw an A# anywhere. A bit of panic ensued for a few minutes before I realized he could ask at his POE, and if he didn't get it there, we would just contact USCIS. So fun to have panic moments through all of this. At least that was a small panic moment, and nothing like the panic we had when his passport was left at the courthouse when we applied for the marriage license. That was on a Friday afternoon and we had to wait all weekend in utter fear and panic. Good thing it was there at the court first thing on Monday morning.:D
