Hey, my husband and I had our application approved on May 19, and he usually visits the United States from England in the summer (late july - late august), but we are afraid if he books his flight that he might miss the interview in London. Is there anywhere I can contact to find out when the interview will be so we can make arrangements to see eachother next? Or will they give him a few weeks notice for when it will be? I know the process time is 5 months, but I'm not sure how long it will be till we hear back about the next step. Any advice would be extremely helpful!

You still have a whole process to go through at NVC, so you won't be having an interview for another 2-3 months minimum. So your husband can safely visit the US. Plus, once you are done the NVC stage and get an interview scheduled, it's usually a few weeks in advance of the interview, so he'd have plenty of time to get back to England.

Might want to check on the status of the I-130 and the I-129F, at NVC, soonish.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

In general, you receive enough notice of the interview to book flights back. This may not always be the case, or you may choose not to. (Personally I received an interview date a lot quicker than expected. They gave me a date of January 5th. I was in the US and booking flights back after Christmas at short notice is absolutely impossible unless you're, like, a millionaire! Lol!) But rescheduling the interview is pretty simple. Yes, it obviously delays you slightly. But as the delay is because you were spending time together, it's an acceptable delay :-)

Thanks everyone for your advice :), its nice that other people have gone through this process, it can be very confusing and lonesome sometimes hah! good to know we can reschedule if needed though(4 months without seeing each other is wayy to long heh), hopefully things go smoothly with our application and we wont have to worry about traveling to see each other anymore! Good luck everyone!
