No they dont do it on purpose to make people frustrated. Theres a process that has to be done to determine if one will get a visa to the USA or not. Yes it can be slow depending on many different things. I think its slightly slower now that the revolution happened, which is what Egypt choose to do. Cant blame the Embassy for what was going on during those months of fighting & rioting.

They are probably overwhelmed with all the cases. My husband saw the passports going out to dhl when we arrived at the embassy the last time and said, "you can't imagine how many i seen." (if that says anything) but it does stink that k1's are getting interviews before married couples and it is so hard to even get a reply for an email, my last 2 were soooo important involving crba and no reply and even ask for it to be forwarded to chief consular for acs and still no reply. I think you get lucky when you get a reply and hope this changes soon because i am so nervous i feel this protesting here will never end and worry that the embassy will close again.
