Hi. i came to the US under VWP (Visa Waiver Program) and got married to US citizen.

Im trying to apply every documents for greencard before extending my 90 day limitation.

But i hear that if i came here under VWP , since i have no visa i have to submit supplement A to I-485 and also have to pay extra $1000.

is that true? does anyone know what i have to do?

As long as you entered legally and with inspection (i.e. you did not "climb the fence" to get to the U.S.), you do not need the supplement A. If you look at the instructions for supplement A, it says:

Who Does Not Need to Use Supplement A to Form I-485?

You do not have to submit Supplement A to Form I-485 if you:

A. Are already an LPR; or

B. Have continuously maintained lawful immigration status in the United States since November 5, 1986; or

C. Are applying to adjust status as the spouse or unmarried minor child of a U.S. citizen or the parent of a U.S. citizen child at least 21 years of age, and you were inspected and lawfully admitted to the United States other than in C-1 or S nonimigrant status.

03/03/2011 - Day 0 - AOS -package mailed to Chicago Lockbox

03/04/2011 - Day 1 - AOS -package signed for at USCIS

03/09/2011 - Day 6 - E-mail notification received for all petitions

03/10/2011 - Day 7 - Checks cashed

03/11/2011 - Day 8 - NOA 1 received for all 4 forms

03/21/2011 - Day 18 - Biometrics letter received, biometrics scheduled for 04/14/2011

03/31/2011 - Day 28 - Successful walk-in biometrics done

05/12/2011 - Day 70 - EAD Arrived, issued on 05/02

06/14/2011 - Day 103 - E-mail notice: Interview letter mailed, interview scheduled for July 20th

07/20/2011 - Day 139 - Interview at Federal Plaza USCIS location

07/22/2011 - Day 141 - E-mail approval notice received (Card production)

07/27/2011 - Day 146 - 2nd Card Production Email received

07/28/2011 - Day 147 - Post-Decision Activity Email from USCIS

08/04/2011 - Day 154 - Husband returns home from abroad; Welcome Letter and GC have arrived in the mail

("Resident since" date on the GC is 07/20/2011
