NVC Processing?

Hi all,

Our I-129F was approved on June 1, and I received the hard-copy receipt last week. I am a little confused about something...everything I've read says that it must go through the NVC first before it is sent to the consulate in Kiev, but the receipt I received in the mail (which was sent from the Vermont Service Center) states that the application has been approved and is being forwarded to the consulate. Am I missing something? It says nothing about going to the NVC, and the only number I could find to the NVC is an automated message telling me the same thing I already know. Does anyone know of a way to talk to an actual person at the NVC to find out what is going on, or should I just call the consulate in Kiev to see if they have the application? Thanks for any advice.

It is a standard mailer. Most peoples letter say this on it.

It must be sent to NVC to be logged and given an embassy case number before it is sent to the embassy.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

I am a Citizen of the United States of America. 04/16/13

Understood. I received an email from my attorney yesterday saying that he received a notice from the NVC and they should be sending our I-129F to the embassy in a few days. On another note, shouldn't I personally be receiving a notice from the NVC that tells me the date they received/sent my package to the embassy? So far, the only update I see on the USCIS website is the NOA2 approval on June 1.

now is time to call, use telephone - here's some guide about it:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/264972-shortcuts-when-checking-for-updates-from-the-nvc-and-dos/

Dodi's posted how to call and who, further down I've posted what you can get, from whom, and when.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Thanks, I called them and they said it had been sent to the consulate in Kiev on June 13, but she didn't tell me when they received the application from the VSC. In any case, at least now I know that it is in transit! Thanks again!

why? 'casefile opened' timetick is the one you should chase after, instead.
