Makes you wonder how many more people have to die before 3000 people can finally R.I.P.

I was reading elsewhere that the total death toll (taking into account not only 9/11 and subsequent attacks in Asia and Europe) but those killed in Iraq and Afghanistan - is now up to around 100,000 or so. Quite shocking.

I hope history will let the truth prevail. That people years from now won't even entertain the notion that Saddam was connected in anyway to 9/11. That we had a President who declared war on an emotional state that in effect can never be won or ever end.

The policy is kept vague to seemingly justify endless war. And the comparisons with WW2 are still abound - except WW2 ended after Germany and Japan were defeated.

That dawned upon me the other day when I was listening to a Senator who said we cannot put a timetable of when we will withdraw our troops...but the thing is, the interviewer doesn't ask him the tough question - What is the criteria for when we WILL withdraw our troops? Define victory beyond vague terms. When all the terrorists are killed off? When all the insurgents quit resisting the occupation? When? The spineless media doesn't ask the questions that need to be asked!

Is it ok to make fun of someone's spelling ability if most of VJ finds the person annoying? Is that the difference? If so, then shouldn't that be in the TOS? "Do not correct or comment on anyone's spelling and grammar, or use of Chatspeak. Unless that person is a chopf##k; then it's ok."
