Jordan is probaly enough of an exeption that I maybe shouldn't be allowed to vote, but for the record, my case was "complete"(complete is a funny word here) in early June and our interview is just coming up now.

Hey, just noticed you're a K1, really shouldnt be too much longer. I will add you to the chearleading thread if you like

has you husband recieved any paperwork from the embassy? (about the police reports, medical stuff)

Some embassies send them to the usc (like Jordan) Thats a long time to not hear anything at all. Any chance they are waiting on return paperwork from you guys that maybe you didnt get?

I'm the petitioner ... they told me that Lebanon is only allowed x amount of interviews a month and we are on the waiting list. We have not even recived the medical papers ... the NVC said they will send the medical papers when they schedule the interview. I have called the NVC every month and they tell me "Cross your fingers for next month". We are apart ... and it is terrible ! I don't know how much longer I can stand this.

You only call monthly? I admire your patience. I didn't realise the nvc scheduled Lebanon cr1s and I dont know anyone timeline to compare yours to, but I know this: you usually cant get straight answers from them ever. they lie, they make up stuff when they dont have answers, they just say whatever to get you off the phone. I wish I had advice for you. I dont know if you found this VJ feature yet, but under your name is an underlined Lebanon. if you click on it, it lists other VJers going thru Lebanon and if you click on each of them, you can see their timelines and see how your wait compares to theirs.

So are you the usc or the lebanese bride? When was the last time you saw each other?

What is the usc mean ?

I am a bride and I am Lebanese American .... I am the petitioner. My husband is in Lebanon. The last time we saw each other was Summer 2005 ... I went to visit and it was awesome : ) "It lasted forever but ended so soon". We so thought he would be here by now ! It is sooo frustrating. I was just talking to him on the phone and telling him about you .. u waited 8 months for your interview right ? And he said "Akbalna" Inshallah that will be us soon.

Call the embassy and see if your papers have been sent to lebanon. See if lebanon has your case and ask them how to set up an interview. I don't know about the CR1, but with a K1 we set up the interview through the embassy and not NVC

That's the thing. I have called Lebanon several times ... the NVC sets up the interviews for CR1's. Awkar (the embassy) told me "We cannot do anything for you until the NVC sets up the interview. The NVC is not setting up the interview or sending our paperwork to Lebanon. It is very frustrating  . We could not do a K-1 because they came out a year after we had applied for the I-130.
