Can't believe it's already time to deal with USCIS AGAIN! But hopefully this will be the last time for a long time.....

I just wanted to ask if anyone knew how I should go about my situation. My 2 year conditional GC is to expire on September 2nd of this year so I am in the time frame to file for removal however, my husband and I just recently bought a house and moved in so I now also need to file a change of address. Can I do these at the same time or do I need to do the change of address first and then the removal of conditions?

My issue comes up when I am filling out the I-751 form as I do not know if I should put my previous address or the new address?

Using my past address is not that big of a deal as it is my in-laws house however, I do not want to have any issues about not filing change of address in the appropriate amount of time.

Thanks.

Would the change of address be done in time? I have no Idea how long it takes them to do one and I don't want to run out of time to file the I-751.

I would just put the new address on the forms and leave it at that.

I just found out you could change your address online which I went ahead and did. The site stated I did not have to do anything else unless I have a current pending case which I do not believe I do so hopefully I am all set to fill out and mail the I-751 forms with my new address in the next few days.

Thanks for your help.

If anyone knows of anything I have missed please let me know! :innocent:

If the petitioner and the GC holder both moved.

Both have to do a change of address form. Online and mail in. We did this when we moved.

Had we moved homes closer to ROC we would of just used ROC to notify them of the new address.

Thank you for completing your change of address online for legal purposes. However, if you have a pending case with USCIS, you still have another step in order to have your address updated on your case. This notification only confirms that you have successfully submitted an electronic Form AR-11, Alien's Change of Address Card. If you have a pending case with USCIS, please go to the "Next Step", below.

I don't have pending cases so therefore I do not need to complete the Next Step. I successfully submitted an electronic AR-11.

Please remember the law also requires permanent residents and U. S. citizens who have financially sponsored another person who has immigrated to the U. S. to report a change of address. The Form I-865, Sponsor's Notice of Change of Address, is used to meet this legal requirement. The Form I-865 is not yet available for electronic filing so if you need to complete the Form I-865, you'll still need to send it by mail.

My in-laws were the two people who sponsored me and they did not move as it was just me and my husband who FINALLY got to move out of their house so they do not need a change of address.

....Unless my husband did fill out an I-864 I don't remember :bonk: I will just send everything in the I-751 and cross my fingers. I mean seriously how bad can it be I moved 2 blocks away from my previous address.

We did not have a pending case either yet still had to send in the paper via snail mail. As well as do the online form.

The petitioner does file an I-864. Because they are the petitioner of the immigrant and are required to supply it regardless of no income.

Yeah I am with Inky here your husband still had to do I-864 so he has to send off I-865 as well. I could not do the AR-11 online for some reason would not let me complete it but we got a receipt to my husband that they had received the I-865
