Cain doubles down on Muslims: He will only be comfortable with them serving in office if he can gauge their loyalty through a 1-on1 conversation!!!

If we look through the smoke of political correctness, it really comes all down to this: America is at war with Islam because Islam has declared war on America. Not every Muslim is a terrorist but aside from the lonely wacko living like a hermit in the woods, every terrorist is a Muslim.

"We" can't use this fact and be open about it, because it would be political incorrect, seen as religious profiling, whatever, but Cain, as much as I dislike this guy, uses a way around stating the obvious by claiming every Muslim would receive extra scrutiny. Had we used this common sense approach at the airports, 9/11 would have never happened.

There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all . . . . The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English-Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian-Americans or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality, each at heart feeling more sympathy with Europeans of that nationality, than with the other citizens of the American Republic . . . . There is no such thing as a hyphenated American who is a good American. The only man who is a good American is the man who is an American and nothing else.

This is one of the dumbest statements I've read on here for a while. It's already been disproven that every terrorist, or even most terrorists, are Muslim, so you might want to come out from under your rock and figure that out.

It's also not true that Islam declared war on America. Religions don't declare war, which is a fact so obvious that it shouldn't need to be said. If that were true, then Christianity declared war on the world for most of history. But, it's not true.

9/11 wouldn't have been prevented by scrutinizing Muslims either.

You, and whomever +1'd your post could use a good dose of common sense, which, it seems, isn't all that common where you hang out.

Lolz. We don't walk around with the word "mooozlim" tattooed on our foreheads. My passport and photo ID-big fat zero mention of it. Last time I flew, I wore jeans, a sweater, and a raincoat. Neither myself or a whole lot of other Muslim men and women I know display any outward sign of being Muslim either. Nor do we walk up to the TSA agents and shout," hey yo- I'M MUSLIM, profile me!!"

I'm still laughing about the silliness of me waging war on the US because I'm muslim though. I don't have time for that #######- I have to like go to work and take my kids to

school and swimming and I'd rather just relax at the end of the day with a book and maybe some ice cream. Some people here are so silly sometimes.

Herman Cain will never be President. Anything he says in regards to what he would or wouldn't do as President is completely irrelevant.

Can't argue with that. One thing I do find interesting though, regardless of what a nobody, nothing he is, is the basic ho-hum reaction his silliness gets. If he were an African American democrat, saying these things about "white people" instead of Muslims, I think it would generate a furor amongst the rwns, and be a lot more disdained. But maybe not. Maybe not very many people would care then either.

It would be nice if he was irrelevant to the media. They're pumping him up like he's the Second Coming of Republicanism. Recent polls of conservatives show that he's got about 4% support among Republicans. But, hey, he's controversial, and the media loves that.

The media seriously sucks. Look at how they drool over the never gonna be Presidents Trump and Palin. It's all just entertainment these days.
