on form ds230 it says to give spouse information such as name address etc etc. now do i have to put my info on there even though im not technically her spouse. because on ds260 before you start the online questionnaire it says who is the petitioner...THERE IS NO OPTION FOR FIANCE SO I PUT SPOUSE SINCE IT IS THE CLOSEST NATURE TO IT?? HAS ANYONE EXPERIENCED THIS??

YES YES YES this was our trouble in Mexico filling out the form! It is odd right??? so we filled out a 160, but now we need to go back in and do the 260...we are going to put in spouse, tho' it is technically fiancee'

Honestly very confusing...

I suggest you put spouse...this is what tripped us up, so we actually flew home to USA to figure it all out!!! :bonk:

Since you are filing for your K-1 visa, you don't have any spouse. She or he is your fiancee of fiance. So you have to write NONE, NOT APPLICABLE or N/A.

Again-- this is an electronic form with a drop down menu and the question needs to be answered so the only option is to put spouse. The OP did the right thing.. others in Jaurez have put spouse with no issues. I think those at the consulate realize that there is no other option for K1s because "fiance/ee" is not an option.

Exactly. It seems really odd that CDJ started asking K-1 applicants to fill out the DS260, but you have to give them what they ask for.
