Told you, just visit the Social Security nearest you, bring along all your documents,

passports and all, and any other documentation proving your identity, one thing you should

know about Americans, they are very strict with their regulations, but they are not monsters,

they are very polite and very easy to talk to, so don't feel embarrassed asking them,...

Enjoy your field trip,..

Congrats! I didnt know that children are carried with citizenship. This is good news for my 15 year old daughter then. My wife will be elligible next year. What I know is that immigrant children can become citizens only when they reach the age of 30. Can someone enlighten me?

We called USCIS awhile ago to confirm, and according to them for as long as the mother becomes USC before the child turns 18,

then the child would automatically become USC...

Dito na pala sa US si Askot. WElcome. Enjoy New York, the Big Apple and the premier city of the USA. For your SSN maghintay ka na lang ng 3 weeks from your arrival baka matanggap mo by mail. Kung wala then go to SSN office. Kung pupunta ka agad pabalikin ka rin after after 3 weeks. Just Bring your original visa/passport and xerox copy sa SSN office.

Ang pagkuha ng drivers license dito sa Washington state medyo stricto di ko alam sa New York. Mahigpit sa proof of address.

It doesn't matter kung legitimate sya or not. And of course, dapat before the child 18th birthday.

Once na ma receive nila, gagawan nila ng certificate of naturalization ang anak mo at i mail back nila together with your certificate.

Unfortunately, no.

Kung sa FATHER kukuha ng US citizenship ang bata, the child has to be the father's legitimate/legitimated child. The child should have undergone legitimation before the child's 16th birthday.

Pero kung sa MOTHER kukuha ng US ciizenship ang bata, it doesn't matter kung legitimate o illegitimate yung bata.

My children are illegitimate but they are already in the US with their father (under F2B category sila). We will do their legitimation next year. Inuna lang namin i-file yung F2A petition ko since 2016 pa naman sila magqu-qualify for citizenship.

Thanks for the info apple.

In a month or 2, pwede ka na makakuha ng NSO copy.

Glad to help. :innocent:
