Ok...after a most hilarously convaluted & frustrating experience trying to pay for appointments & make appointments for medical, ASC & actual interview...all from a ciber-cafe en Cozumel Mexico with 5 hours of insane-ness!!! We finally had to come home for the petitioner to go to work at his new job! Got here last night.

Today from the USA we were able to make appoinments & pay fees...but I (best nicest friend of future Bride & Groom) will now fly back to Cozumel in 9 days and then 4 days later will acompany Lupita & the 2 kids to Cd Juarez for all the new frustration!!!

AHHHHHHHHHH! a most frustrating website & phone system evaaaaa, then doing all of it 3 times since there are 2 children involved...wow, just WOW!

I would not wish this on anyone, it is a very difficult system.

Anyway...will try to be back online with updates as we go forward.

Kim

Darn it! I was hoping you would go first!

Ok here is what we discovered, you need to cal NVC 603-334-0700 to get a special invoice ID# for the group mom & kids...and also a Beneficiary ID# FOR EACH PERSON!!! (kids too) You need this for filling out online forms.

you can pay online though we did not find that part of the website until we paid over the phone (terrible paying by phone for 3 people so try to do it online Sarah!!!) You need to dig deep in the website. It is hard doing this for one person but all the repeating for the kids is really rough! Even filling out forms with all the information in hand is utterly frustrating.

We have a WRONG expiration date on the youngest kids passport info so when we finally spoke to someone she said for Lupita to ask to have it corrected at the interview since it is not something they can fix now...(hope we don't have to leave poor 10 year old Kevin behind jijiji)

I was able to make appointments for about 2 weeks out...so plan for that, they also had SAturday appointments for ASC.

Thanks Sarah for medical info...here is our plan

Thursday June 23-fly into Juarez airport from Cancun/DF (will text & call a man from El Paso named Victor Garcia 915-726-0957...he is recommended by a personal friend as a taxi driver with a BIG taxi he speaks English & Spanish & will pick you up at Juarez airport take you to Hotel while giving a little tour of consulate, medical & ASC locations...he will also drive you across the border later, I will be getting intouch with him this week to organise the pick up)

Friday June 24-Medical for Lupita & both boys

Saturday June 25-We have scheduled the ASC in the afternoon for all 3

Sunday June 26-Relax in the hotel

Monday June 27-pick up Medical results from the tests on Friday

Tuesday June 28-Early 7:15 am scheduled appointment at consulate for the interview (here is where me as the super best friend will sit alone in a panic for several hours!!!!)

So this means iff they are approved on Tuesday we will have wed, thurs, fri to maybe with luck get delivery of the visas at DHL, since we are waiting for them in Juarez...if we get them fast...we will cross to El Paso & fly to Minnesota in time for 4th of July celebrations!!!

PRAY for us...
