alas, sorry, the scanned/signed ds-3032 was supposed to be attached to the OPT IN email.

re: AOS fee bill - sure, can pay now. check the payment portal again in 2 to 3 days after paying, it will be marked 'paid' and then you need to print the coversheet.

yup - wait for now. but - remember ah?

1. payment runs parallel to the Agent of Choice document, but - when the DS-3032 is officially added to the casefile, the IV fee bill will be available to be paid at thte portal. expect about 5 to 15 days for the IV fee bill to show up, counting at today.

2. At some point, you'll get the OPT IN Successful email, with new GZO casefile #. OPT IN acceptance goes hand in hand with DS-3032 added to the casefile, IV fee bill available to be paid.

3. Once you have GZO #, log in to online payment portal again, pay the IV fee bill. Print the AOS coversheet (it has new GZO #) and wait 2 more days for the IV fee bill to be marked PAID, then download the IV coversheet.

4. send off (in seperate emails) the IV and AOS files, after you have GZO #. Don't forget the coversheets for each set, in each set.

Whew! Time to relax a bit, yes?

Why to assure me, Push? I don't need yer assurances - you make yourself sound like a salesman of some sort. After the last priv email you sent to me, I'm not giving you credit for anything, as your backstory is soiled.

After you telling Chris to go read the guides, 3 times - and me telling and/or asking you to step off, 5 times - you sure you want to stick to this topic/thread? There are others, you not need to be here on this topic.

Dude...read the GUIDES! Do your homework! People are going to stop spoon feeding you around here soon.

Yes, you can do anything for your wife except sign forms. Evidently you have not yet studied the instructions, as you do not request Electronic processing by phone.

Hi Darnell,

I been thoroughlyreading this post and I think it is really nice that you are trying to helpChris and I totally RESPECT you and Push and everyone on here who are replyingmessages and answering questions. I also feel that although your experience maybe different than Push's, however, he did come in with good intentions and heis trying to help and offer input! Since our ultimate goal is to help Chris, maybe we should first put aside the negativity toward each other. :)

I do agree witheveryone else that he SHOULD GO READ THE GUIDES and don't expect to be spoon fed! I totally understand that English can be a limitation to certain things;however, I am getting the impression that it is being used here as an excuse. Speakingfrom my families' experience (my mom, aunts, uncles and cousins), after livingin the US for a couple of years, they develop good listening and readingcomprehension skills but they are a little weaker in writing and speakingbecause they have trouble formulating words and phrases. And by reading hisposts and analyzing his writing skills (which are all decent andunderstandable), I am thinking his reading comprehension skills should becompetent enough to be able to understand most of what is in the guides. Also, there are many free websites that offers English to Chinese translation. Iwould suggest installing Google toolbar. It has a translating tool that ispretty accurate and could translate any language from any web page. I havefriends in China who uses it to browse English websites. I would suggest for him to look at the guidesfirst, use a translator if necessary, and if he still doesn't understand, askaway! He can even PM me and I can offer suggestions from my own experience!

I got the Update news. I have GUZ number right now. But When i tell the operator I wanna use EDI.( Maybe I miss understand her meaning) Her probably means it's not the time for doing OPTIN yet. Maybe not completely ready for my case. Question is :

Should I listen to her or I should do the OPT in right now regardless what she said?? Or she actually needs to give me the DS-3032 kit??

How did you get your GUZ number so fast?? My i 130 got approved on the same day as yours and when I call the nvc number they say they have no number yet... did you call and talk to someone????

Hey, buddy Darnell!

I've read all pages on this thread and Saylin's Montreal EP guide and got kinda confused.

On page 1 you say: "Once you have the GUZ casenumber, THEN you'll have to OPT IN to NVC Electronic Processing via a special email, an OPT IN Email".

On page 3 you say: "Once you have the IIN from the AOS fee bill (in yer email inbox) then NVC is ready to accept yer OPT IN Email".

So, which statement is correct? Or I'm missing something?

Plus Montreal EP guide says that you can OPTIN while AOS is being generated and you can get your IIN over the first conversation with NVC by requesting your case number + request for IIN and giving them yours and beneficiary's e-mails.

Well, though I completely understand that there might be some differences between GUZ and MTL, but the initial NVC stage (to my best knowledge) should be the same, I mean OPTIN, DS-261.

If I've missed something, please, correct me.

Thanks.

MTL uses DS-261, GUZ uses DS-3032 ..

I think I cleared up myself in later posts.. Page 3 is correct.

When the IIN is generated, NVC has turned on the switch, is safe to send in the OPT IN email.

Frankly, the kind of difference of opinion we're discussing is better done by PM instead of in a thread like this but alas, Darnell's account doesn't accept PM's and hasn't for some time and he has not responded to my email. The issue upon which we disagree is of little consequence in the long run anyway. My recommended procedure saves no more than a couple days at best. The idea that I should step aside because I don't agree with something is the point of contention, not the difference of opinion on procedure itself.
