yes, a new dated letter of intend, since the one u already sent will be like 6 months old by the time u go to the interview - that counts as proof of your ongoing relationship

you"ll be fine, i was worried about that also because everyone was doing it, we were approved.

The US fiancé needs to write the letter and sign it.

The foreign fiance doesn't(it never hurts to have one prepared though). The reason for this is the ds-156K where you sign this at the embassy saying you're willing to marry the petitioner within 90 days of your arrival in the US. Basically that's the foreign fiance´s letter of intent.

8 month old letter is way too old. You can better make up a letter close to interview date (a month of so), because that letter would be more of a proof then an old one.

If I was a CO, I won't take that as a good evidence of ongoing relationship.

i guess if you dont have much for evidence its a great idea !im not saying dont , he brought 4 5x8 and about 10 other pictures of our travels and engagement party which was the only evidence they looked at, he had brought 7 months of chat logs emails, and 4 months of texts and phone call logs, it was a great interview , that lasted about 20min...i hope this helps alittle bit...
