So finally after over two long years of waiting for a response on I485 application, I come home today and find a letter or NOA from USCIS saying interview date set for April 20th. Yippee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!@

After my excitement I pick up the next envelope in my mail, that too is from USCIS.

Can you believe it says on another official I797C that due to unforseen circumstances my interview scheduled for April 20th is cancelled by them and they will contact me to reschedule. AAAAaaaaargh!!!!!!!

Anyone had a similar experience?

Usually what's happened next, as reported on this forum, is you get a notice that your application has been transferred to CSC for processing, and an approval follows soon after. :)

This is GOOD news if it follows the same pattern as others. Congrats!

Aw this news is both happy and sad. At least you know that your application is now being processed and ignored. But I am sorry to hear the news was only a tease.

With luck they decided to just transfer you to the CSC instead, since it's been so long!
