So the y finally admitted that they got my tax papers they were looking for...so I got this message today...

"On September 8, 2006, we received your response to our request for evidence or information. However because preliminary processing was complete, the remaining processing time will be less than the maximum stated in this message. You will receive a written decision on this case. You can use our processing dates to estimate when this case will be done. Follow the the link below for current processing dates."

I see it as a positive sign but my only confusion is the following:

"However because preliminary processing was complete, the remaining processing time will be less than the maximum stated in this message."

What are they saying? I am not sure how to interpret this sentence.

Another thing...I still can not put on line Jamal EAD receipt number...what is going on???

Thanks guys for any input.

Dorothy

Hi Ella,

That is their standard answer when they receive your RFE answer. It just means that all processing dates are screwed and that we have to wait until they take the next step... We can only speculate about when we get AP and EAD... Though that email sounds so optimistic! ;)

Good luck,

Anna

Thank you...I will just have to wait and see...I guess at this point I am an expert when it comes to waiting...I just wonder why there is still a problem with getting the EAD up on the website...I will give it until next week and then maybe schedule and INFOPass to see what is up...

Infopass can help, good idea, go ahead and do it! Without Infopass we never would have received our RFE. We now know what happened: Chicago sends the NOAs and they have a more modern computer system. Missouri has a different system, which cuts off address lines after a certain amount of characters. They cut off our apartment number!!! I sent them a letter to ask them to put the number in the second line....

Ella, I heard from a lot of people that their APs aren't online after quite a while. All we can do is to speculate what they do. But I can see in your timeline that you are waiting for a very long time already, so go to Infopass and bring all your documentation....

Greetings to Queens, my ex-residence ;)

Anna,

I've passed along your heartfelt greetings to Queens which were graciously accepted...I guess you are being missed

I can't believe that their computer system are not unified to the extend that they all are on the same page...Well one day...in the far future we may see the federal money being spent on more important things than war such as Homeland Security issues here in the states...Just wishful thinking...Thanks for your help Anna

Dorothy
