Miami_boy I think you ae making point.Cases are closed while they schedule interview and so our sign in fails that time.

Cases are closed when you finish visa application process with NVC then they wait for visas to be available which is upto a year, but some cases have gone more than that. if your PD becomes current then they schedule visa interview. Wants your case is complete with nvc you will have SIF but sometimes it is not automatically changed but that is the case.

now as far as i studied and read from different usa Departent and agencies revies ...i think now onwards the PD vl move slower and slower month after month...and my prediction for august 2011 is 3 month advancement means somewhere around June 2008 but mind u friends those who have filed for 2010 second half...it vl be very harsh for them....bcaz the total filing is too high in 2010 and only 2010 vl take around 2 years for 1 year PD advancement...so total waiting time for {second half}2010 and 2011 files will be around 4 to 5 years for sure.....

sorry but this is truth and we have to accept it....and pray to god that immigration law should be enacted asap.....sorry friends...but this is thruth {based on the number of petions being approved during 2011 and 2010}

If i were in your situation, i would call DOS tomorrow and find out the case status.

Here is dos number: 202-663-1225 press 1 then 0 wait for someone to speak out.

DOS?? i usally call NVC about my case. SO i just call DOS and tell them my case # and they will let me know or what?

Hi Guys,

I have a question. I'm a green card holder and filed I-130 for my spouse, last month.

Her PD is May 5th, 2011. When do you guys think that her GC will be available? Last month PD moved by 8th Months, so i'm a little bit hopeful.

Do you guys think that it'll move and then retrogress again like Jan 2011.

I think you are wrong...usa Departent and agencies do not release any official news about how the priority dates will move for the next 4 to 5 yrs.If so pl do provide us the link instead of just dummy statements.

The whole and sole information released by the USCIS abt viasa is the One and only visa bulletin the govens all the visa.

Also I'm pretty sure that by Oct VB will move untill Aug 2010.Since most of these cases were also cleared last yr and since this is the also quarter of the FY quota should defintely be filled.So,if july VB moved 7 months.Aug and Sep VB will have more advancement than 7 months.

If we look at the history of VB there is always and incremental movement in VBs from July to Aug to Sep.

Hi Arka,

I'm also an march 2011 filler.I'm hoping that my I-130 will be approved next month.

Abt the VBs I'm pretty confident that if july VB moved 7 months this is a sign that there are no sufficient number of cases and USCIS wants to fill in the qupta for this FY..There will be more huge movements to follow and by Oct VB will be back to Aug 2010..Hopefully by this Yr end our PDs might become current.

Since they made the I-130s approval 5 months as against 3 yrs previously.This is the key that they are expidiating the process faster.

Sooner I-130 approvals->sooner NVC case competions->sooner docuemtarily qualified case->sooner ultilizations of Visas.

What do you mean by I-130 approval? i received a notice recently from USCIS about my I-130. Is that just a confirmationo of my application or what exactly is it?

If you want i can tell u what exactly my I-130 notice says once i get back home. Also, after the PD becomes current, how long do you think it takes for the person to be physically present in the US?

I hope there's huge movement. Fingers crossed.

Possible DOS could be recapture visa numbers that all these years been wasted, who knows DOS could do anything for maintain their budget established.

Just call the number and ask for when you can expecting your wife's interview date....!! I hope you do so..
