hi VJ members, i have a priority date of Aug 23,2010 and i belong to the F2A category.I'm currently on F1 student status and will graduate august 2012.Then apply for OPT in August 2012 and the OPT will expire in August 2013.My question is should i adjust my status here in the USA or go for consular processing.Does anyone have an idea of when my priority date will be current?I need an advice please!!!!!

The fact that there is no or little transparency in the DoS system to print out PD (priority dates) suggests clearly an flawed process. In all, it might be a defunct excel sheet on someone's desk that

PD is Current.

NVC cannot to tell about visa availibilty. NVC only provide the current visa bulletin information, As I posted earlier, you only have one option is WAIT, I believe if PD move atleast one month or so, You will receive your interview email by 25th of JUNE....Try to call friday at DOS, DOS has the latest information than NVC.

Here is the DOS number: 202-663-1225 press 1, then 0.

i guess i will wait till the end of this month

My opinion, for F2A category they will cover all 2008 PDs by october 2011, and even in slowest progress of reviewing they should start reviewing 2010 PDs in winter/spring 2012. Best of luck to everybody, I know it's hard to wait!!!

Actually I never was able to login in that portal once I had the SIF. I tried every month as I once saw your post where u said u can login again after the visa was unavailable. It was never open for me. Cud be bcz I had my SIF after 24 days of the case completion :blink: However,I called the NVC today. (Stress was too much :unsure: ). The lady told me to call middle of July. Then she can tell. Sometimes I doubt if I would get the August interview even if wd be available for our case bcz of the Famous Montreal Consulate.
