Hello! I was wondering if anybody can help me with this. My husband has passed his citizenship interview today. His oath is on July 28. After dat shud I let the embassy know rt away abt my husband's citizenship or it is ok if I just bring a photocopy of his naturalization certificate during my interview? I don see if I need to inform the NVC as NVC is no longer handling our case. My interview is on Aug 3, just after 6 days of my husband's citizenship. Any info regarding this wd be appreciated

Good... You have it figured out already. You are right... No need to contact/inform the NVC about this change. You can take a photocopy of the status change which is enough evidence.

Hey. New to the site. My prediction for August is Dec08. I can't see the PD moving less than it did when it was at this point last year (last year it moved from Jan 08 to July08 to March09 during the months of June through August, or 6 and 8 months respectively). Using the same movement, we'd be at Nov08 come this August. Additionally, I'd expect the movement to be a bit more since a number of applications were completed last year, which is why I'm sticking with Dec08. I don't know if my logic is sound as very little of the process seems to be logical.

Anyway, my wife's PD is Oct2010 and I'm predicting she'll be here by February2012. Here is my breakdown based solely on how last year's numbers went (using the same number of months' movement each month as a baseline).

Month-------> PD

Aug-------> Nov08

Sep-------> Sep09

Oct-------> Dec09

Nov-------> March2010

Dec-------> May2010

Jan-------> July2010

Feb-------> Sep2010

And again, as some of the visa applications actually got their visas during that time last year, I'd think things will go slightly faster with Nov and beyond being one or two months ahead of my breakdown above. The real question is what will happen when we reach a PD of August 2010, which is the last PD before retrogression happened. Things may slow WAAY down, but fingers crossed.

you're not far away... you should have some communication over the next 4 weeks or <. your priority actually isnt yet current while others is scheduled... it's projected.
