Any idea as to which surname the green card will come with??

The U.S. marriage license signed with married surname.

Filed all documents with USCIS and NVC with the married name (included maiden name when asked for previous names used)

BUT my wife's Italian passport has her maiden name (Italian law will not allow for the surname to be changed).

The NVC uses her maiden name because her passport has the maiden name and the visa must match the passport.

Will the green card come with her married or maiden name?

If you filed the forms with her married name as her now-last name, then her green card will come with her married name.

That's what I did, and though I don't have my green card yet I received mail from USCIS as Mrs. Aurore MarriedName.

Once you are all done with the visa and green card papers, you could (if that's possible with the Italian government) add her married name to her passport. I know it works the same in France : they won't let you get rid of your maiden name on your IDs. Passports basically read "MaidenName sp.(ouse) MarriedName". I want my passport to match my green card when I need to travel internationally so I'll renew my IDs with the embassy.

As said before if you filled in AOs in married name the GC will come in the married name. Don't worry about passport that can be changed later on. But if you travel and your wife buys tickets they must be purchased in the name that's on the passport. I hd my name changed on my passport through Australia consulate here in Atlanta.

if you filed your forms in your married name the you should get the permanent card in your married name.if ti's not call the 1-800 number tell them there is a error on the card, you should not be charged 1-90 fee name change, the passport you don't have to change it, leave it you can travel international but be sure to buy the airline tickets with the same name that is on the passport it must match, and when your coming back to the us you you go to the us citizen line at the poe. with your permanent resident card your marriage certificate to show name change and passport.you will be okay. when you apply for your citizen ship approval then you apply for your us passport in your married name.
